Óscar Peña-Nogales, MSc

Óscar Peña Nogales, M.Sc., joined the Image Processing Lab (LPI) of the University of Valladolid (UVa), Spain, in 2015 to serve as a junior researcher. In 2014 he was granted an Erasmus+ scholarship to conduct his MT in the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Peña Nogales graduated with honors in 2015 in the UVa. Later, he joined the LPI where he is currently working in his PhD. on diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI).   Peña's research interests focus on the challenging estimation of diffusion biomarkers in the abdominal organs, and on the optimization of the diffusion-weighted acquisition sequence. After his first year of PhD., he has recently published his first contributions in the 25th annual meeting of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), Honolulu, USA. In addition, he attended the Medical Imaging Summer School (MISS) 2016, in Favignana, Sicily, and is organising the 3rd TIC Doctoral Consortium at UVa.
